COBENEFITS kicks off activities in Mexico

Mexico City, Mexico

Mexico is in the midst of an energy transformation. Investments in renewable energy are increasing rapidly, but more effort is needed to achieve the country’s RE and EE targets. This is why the COBENEFITS project has partnered up with GIZ to expand its activities to Mexico. On October 9, 2018, project director Sebastian Helgenberger and research associate Héctor Rodríguez Chávez met with representatives of the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Energy of Mexico to kick off the project.

We are now looking forward to the COBENEFITS workshop that will be held in Mexico City at the end of October. This workshop is designed to build ownership between different stakeholders and will set priorities for co-benefit assessments in Mexico.
