Six “Green Champions of Southeast Asia”, awarded by DAAD Vietnam for their projects on recycling and water management, visited us on October 11, 2018. Together with Prof. Dr. Ilan Chabay, Head of Strategic Research Initiatives and –programmes at IASS, we shared thoughts and ideas on conservation and narratives of climate protection.
It was especially interesting to discuss climate change frames and our opportunity-oriented approach with the visitors that came from Cambodia and our project partner country Vietnam. We agreed on the need for compelling and relevant narratives that take into account the particular interests of the target group. The visit had been organized by the Goethe-Institut on behalf of the Federal Foreign Office.
