Workshop: Enabling Policies for Co-Benefits of Renewables in Times of Crisis

The workshop is open for everyone. No registration needed.

There is lots of evidence on co-benefits of ambitious renewable energy policies. But which policies ensure that social and economic opportunities are realized for the local population?

Policy experts and researchers from around the world contributed to a compilation of policy measures that support the reaping of co-benefits when implementing renewable energy policies. In this workshop, we will launch the resulting COBENEFITS report ‘Maximizing co-benefits of the energy transition: Enabling policies in countries worldwide’.

The event is hosted by COBENEFITS together with the German Energy Agency (dena). We will discuss the role of co-benefits and enabling policies as drivers for the global energy transition and look at current leverage points and challenges in times of energy crisis – together with our experts Tibor Fischer and Philine Wedell (dena), Sarah Kovac and Franziska Sperfeld (UfU), and Sebastian Helgenberger (IASS).

The workshop “Creating an enabling environment for renewable energy deployment in times of energy crisis” takes place on September 20, 2022, 3 PM CEST, via Zoom. No registration needed. Please use the link below to join the workshop:
