Infographics: India Energy Access

 

The imple­men­ta­tion of mini-grids can sig­nif­i­cant­ly increase the reli­a­bil­i­ty of ener­gy sup­ply for munic­i­pal ser­vices and basic ener­gy needs of house­holds in rur­al India. Solar-pow­ered mini-grids of high installed pow­er capac­i­ty can remain eco­nom­i­cal­ly viable and cost-com­pet­i­tive with the cen­tralised grid in rur­al areas of India.
